The key to realising potential

Cultivating innovation

We support you in unleashing the creative forces in your organisation and developing sustainable innovations. With safe spaces, proven methods and inspiring formats, we help you to find new answers to the challenges of our time.

What does innovation mean?
Our understanding

„The greater the contrast, the greater the potential. Great energy only arises from a correspondingly great tension of opposites.”
Carl Gustav Jung

For us, innovation means combining what is technically and economically feasible with what makes sense - with what people really need. It begins where bold ideas and creative approaches are given space to be tested and implemented.

However, innovation requires more than just creativity: it needs reliable structures to support this process. It is the interplay of inspiration and stability that makes it possible to create something new while maintaining a sense of direction.

Today, innovation is no longer an option - it is a necessity. Organisations that embrace social, climatic and technological change not only secure their future viability, but also make a decisive contribution to a world worth living in.

Innovation thrives on the openness to ask questions and explore the unknown. But it also requires enduring uncertainty and the courage to let go of the old. This requires a culture that allows experimentation, recognises mistakes as learning opportunities and strengthens people in their creativity.

Innovation is not an isolated process, but a collective endeavour. It unfolds its full effect when it is thought beyond organisational boundaries. Collaboration with a wide range of stakeholders and the integration of different perspectives make social innovations possible that have a long-term impact and are sustainable.

Our offer

We work with you to design innovation processes that transform your organisation and make it fit for the future:

  • Development of target group-centred offers:
We analyse your challenges and jointly develop solutions that are sustainable and user-oriented - supported by methods such as design thinking and service design.
  • Promoting creativity in teams:
We use training and creative processes to help you discover your own and shared creativity, overcome uncertainty and develop new solutions. Formats such as Presencing (Theory U) or Open Space strengthen your creative potential.
  • Transorganisational innovation thinking:
We support you in designing co-creation labs, collaborating with various stakeholders and developing an innovation-friendly culture.
  • Anchoring a culture of innovation:
We help you to create spaces for innovation in existing structures and establish systematic processes that promote creativity and a wealth of ideas in the long term.

Examples of our work

  • Co-creation for reintegration approaches in forensic psychiatry with „be able e.V.“
  • Open Health Hackademy for the development of assistive devices with makers and people with physical disabilities.
  • Innovation process for format development with the Berlin Central and Regional Library.
  • Support for the InnoPeers programme at the Stifterverband der Deutschen Wissenschaft.

Between change and continuity

Caught between departure and resistance I have been working as an innovation coach for over ten years and as a mediator for several years. In innovation processes, I accompany teams from both roles through lively and sometimes gruelling phases. On the one hand, they experience unimagined creativity and creative power; on the other hand, these processes are often accompanied by frustration and conflict. Again and again [...]

The invisible treasure - New thinking in organisations

How it all began The question with which Kerstin Gollembiewski provided the impetus for the first SOCIUS lab in Hamburg's Schwimmwestenfabrik was as open as it was inspiring: How do we nurture the firm belief in organisations that „A completely different world is possible!“? In times of small and large crises, in moments when we long for security and orientation [...].

Reflections in the foam

Crises - even the terrible and painful ones - bring forth something new. In the organisational world, this is reflected in structural arrangements that are both a framework and an expression of development. Two types of such transformative structures are „bubbles“ and „foams“ (a more in-depth look at these phenomena brought to the stage by Peter Sloterdijk can be found here). While in the [...]
