Exploring the rhythm of creation and decay
What is self-evident in living systems, we often forget in organisations: Everything goes through cycles. Projects emerge, mature, end and thus create space for something new. The EcoCycle model makes these natural rhythms visible and invites us to think and act in a regenerative and cyclical way.
In this SOCIUS lab in Halle (Saale), we will jointly explore the EcoCycle model as a practical tool for organisational development and transformation processes. Unlike linear planning models, it works with four phases: Renewal, Emergence, Maturity and Creative Destruction. They describe how living systems develop. We also learn about the two traps: the shortage trap (when we invest too little) and the rigidity trap (when we cling rigidly).
The special thing about this lab is that we explore the model not only cognitively, but also physically and intuitively. In a guided reflection, you will explore your own topic or case: Where am I right now? What wants to emerge? What can go? By going through the phases and exchanging ideas in the group, you will gain a deeper understanding of how change works in teams, organisations or even in your own life.
The EcoCycle model is rooted in the approach of regeneration and the conviction that we as humans are an inseparable part of living systems. Instead of focussing on exploitation and linear growth, we focus on cyclical processes, cooperation and renewal. This lab offers you a safe space to try out this attitude in practice.
It is the second laboratory in the Halle/Leipzig area and invites you to join a growing network of people who want to think and shape transformation differently.
