„What characterises my leadership? - Personality & Leadership”

with Claudia Meimberg, Joana Ebbinghaus & Lysan Escher

In the first module, we look at the topic of leadership from an individual perspective. We approach the topic of leadership using biography work methods and familiarise ourselves with a personality model that highlights the diverse attitudes and perspectives on the world that shape our leadership behaviour: the Enneagram. In addition, the focus is on getting to know the other participants personally and developing personal goals for the training programme.

„Authentic and clear leadership - communication as a management tool”

with Dr Ulrike Jaeger & Lysan Escher

Clear and authentic communication is one of the most important management tools. In this module, we reflect on our own communication style and receive practical impulses to develop it further. The module focuses on reflecting on our own language and communication behaviour in the area of personnel management, testing it using exercises and expanding it using suitable methods. We use the method of peer counselling for our own day-to-day management work and the intervision groups during the training course.

„It's all about attitude - agile & value-orientated leadership”

with Hannah Kalhorn & Lysan Escher

This module is about reflecting on your own leadership style and analysing your strengths and development potential. In doing so, we look at our own value system and view of human nature as the basis of our leadership style. We also explore the question of how a value-oriented leadership and corporate culture can influence the sustainable development of an organisation.

„Actively shaping organisations“ - methods of organisational development

with Christian Baier & Lysan Escher

In this module, we take an in-depth look at the toolbox of organisational development. Organisations are constantly evolving, whether we actively support them or not. In this module, we therefore look at the levels of an organisation and learn methods of organisational development in order to analyse, initiate and actively support development processes. This discussion leads to the development and implementation of our own small practical project.

“Going with the resistance“ - shaping change processes

with Nicola Kriesel & Lysan Escher

In our day-to-day work as managers, we are constantly confronted with highly complex processes that sometimes cause resistance. In this module, we reflect on how we deal with change and resistance and get to know an analysis model for change processes as well as suitable methods for supporting employees in such processes. In addition, there is the opportunity to reflect on the development status of your own practical project and develop it further.

„One team, many perspectives“ - analysing and dealing with conflicts

with Harald Weishaupt & Lysan Escher

Wherever people meet and work together, conflicts arise. Reflecting on your own conflict behaviour, being able to better assess conflicts and increasing your own ability to act in conflict situations is the content of this module. In addition, theoretical background knowledge and methods for analysing conflicts are presented and methods for your own management practice are taught.

„Personnel and organisational development in practice“ - Reflection & conclusion

with Lysan Escher & SOCIUS

In addition to the presentation of the practical project, the last module is reserved for reflection at various levels. What development processes have I undergone as a manager during the year? What are my goals and perspectives as a manager beyond the training programme? What processes were we able to initiate in our organisation with the help of the practical project? And as empowerment for your personal and professional future, we will familiarise ourselves with the Zurich Resource Model.

What are you taking with you?

  • Participation in all modules and the implementation of a practical project in your own organisation is guaranteed by a qualified SOCIUS certificate certified.
  • In the accompanying Intervision groups of 4-5 people, current cases from day-to-day management and the practical projects are reflected on and worked on in the form of peer counselling.
  • Based on the content of the training programme, all participants initiate a Practical project in their own organisation, which they implement during the training. They are supported in this by the process facilitator, the speakers in modules 4 - 6 and the other seminar participants.
  • Parallel to the training, we recommend individual Coaching in order to develop options for action and solutions for current leadership issues. The aim of individual coaching is to strengthen and reflect on one's own role as a manager, to deepen individual qualification topics and to sharpen one's personal leadership profile.

Lysan Escher

I have been working with and in teams at non-profit organisations since 2004 - as a volunteer board member, a full-time manager and as a freelance consultant and coach. In 2013, during my gOe! training programme with Andreas Knoth and Rudi Piwko and immediately felt at home with SOCIUS. Since then, I have worked with the SOCIUS team time and again in different contexts and constellations. I am therefore delighted that we have now developed a joint training programme for middle managers.
