We have invited colleagues to join SOCIUS NextWerk with whom we have felt a connection for many years and with whom we enjoy working. We value their expertise and experience in working with teams, organisations and individuals.

Joana Ebbinghaus
Til Baumann

I support specialists and managers, teams and organisations as a supervisor and coach (DGSv), systemic organisational consultant, trainer and facilitator. I graduated with a degree in education from the Free University of Berlin in 2000, after which I worked for many years as a trainer and theatre maker in creative conflict transformation and peace and human rights work in Latin America and Europe. In addition to my systemic training, it is the theory and practice of Paulo Freire and my intensive collaboration with Latin American colleagues that still characterise my professional work today. I live in Berlin with my Franco-German family of four.

  • Training as a systemic organisational consultant at artop - Institute at Humboldt University Berlin
  • Training as a supervisor and coach (DGSv) at the Protestant Central Institute for Family Counselling
  • Working languages: German, English, Spanish, Portuguese

The exchange and collaboration with my colleagues at SOCIUS enables me to think beyond mainstream organisational development and to develop a shared practice that focuses on strengthening cooperation and creativity in socio-ecological transformation.

Initially an idea, a problem, then the joint negotiation of interests with a diverse composition of participants, the implementation and repeated learning in loops. As an activist, I was part of this for a long time, and since 2013 I have been supporting teams and organisations in their change projects. I like the potential of self-organised collaboration, find participatory processes and enabling experiences of self-efficacy important and value visualisation as a tool for facilitation. As co-founder of the education centre dock europe and fux eG, a self-managed place for art, culture and education in Hamburg, I have gathered a wealth of knowledge and practical experience. My background as a tax clerk, political scientist and further training in systemic organisational consulting, conflict moderation and visual facilitation is my professional backup.

  • Methods and impulses for participatory cooperation and decision-making processes
  • Advising associations on legal and accounting issues
  • Further training on visualisation in the work context

I've wanted to be involved with SOCIUS for a long time because they work with attitude, commitment and passion in fields that are orientated towards the common good. Through my participation in gOE! with Nicola and Andi, we finally got in touch and started working together.

At the intersection of embodiment, activism and social innovation, I design participatory processes that involve body, mind and community in equal measure. This gives rise to lively, creative and inclusive cultures of collaboration in which people learn from each other, strengthen each other and shape effective change together.

I am a systemic therapist, trauma therapist and facilitator and accompany individuals, teams and organisations in change processes. I combine communication skills, compassion and resilience methods to create spaces in which trust can grow and people can develop their inner strength.

Focal points:

  • Futures Building and Collective Imagination
  • Intersectionality in social fields
  • Somatic intelligence and resilient cultures
  • Art of Hosting and Participative Leadership
  • Working languages: English and German

I enjoy working with SOCIUS because it brings to life a culture that encourages people to realise their potential and shape change together.

Deep, warm, playful - that's how you can summarise the feedback on my Summarise work.
Working with groups fulfils me with meaning. I have this passion I discovered it at the age of 14 and I've been learning ever since. I love learning. I have been working at independent alternative schools since 2010 and spent 9 years as a Board of the Federal Association (BFAS e.V.). Since then, I have been preoccupied with the question: Why are teams the way they are? The Exploration of patterns and dynamics & the development of healthy, appreciative work inspire me. I go with you to the Search and shine with an empathic torch to find causes and to track down sources of resilience.

  • Trauma-sensitive, body-conscious, inclusive: lightness and depth characterise my work
  • Conflict/crisis prevention & intervention through appreciative communication
  • Child protection, democratic education & self-determination
  • Social pedagogue, pedagogical consulting, organisational development, process support and certified INQA coach

I have valued SOCIUS for over 10 years and have learnt from and with you. I find my values reflected in all your work and appreciate the contribution you make to a stable civil society.

Dr Ulrike Jaeger

How can we succeed in truly perceiving ourselves in our competences, potentials, needs and idiosyncrasies in a cheerful, astonished way and create goal-oriented, effective and constructive processes together?

I am constantly finding new answers and perspectives to this question, especially with the participants in my seminars, workshops, individual and team coaching sessions and supervision.

Developing potential, structure & clarity, self-reflection, relationship development, awareness in areas of responsibility and tasks and resource-orientation are the essential basis of my work. As a German studies graduate, I am particularly focussed on the impact and effectiveness of language.

I have enjoyed working as a freelancer since 2009, mainly in the social economy, child and youth welfare, administrations, foundations and technology companies.

  • Educator, doctorate in German studies, systemic counsellor & therapist, facilitator, health coach and neurosystemic coach
  • Trauma-sensitive support in change processes (individuals & teams)
  • Communication and leadership
  • Stress management and resilience development

I appreciate the people at SOCIUS, all the inspiration, the clear and appreciative attitude, the courage to innovate, and I am very happy to be an active part of NextWerk.

Shaping professional relationships effectively for the benefit of the whole and the individual - this is something that is close to my heart. Really listening to each other, changing perspectives, openly exploring interests, finding alternative solutions and making decisions - this is what I am committed to with empathy and structure. I have been self-employed in Weimar and the surrounding area since 2006 and support companies in various sectors with a focus on the social economy through coaching, process support, counselling and moderation. Business succession has also long been a field of work in which I support processes and provide impetus.

  • Facilitation
  • Team development
  • Supervision
  • Women in management positions

For me, SOCIUS stands for innovation, respect, appreciation, clarity and enthusiasm. Through various training courses that I was able to take at and for SOCIUS, I was able to gain a lot of valuable experience and I am very happy to be part of the SOCIUS Nextwerk.

Dr Alexander Piotrowski

I am Alexander, a doctor of couples and organisational counselling with over 25 years of experience. I was part of the core team at SOCIUS for over a decade. I have agency-in-ai.org an initiative that researches how AI can support self-determination, human development and cooperation. My work is about fundamental questions: How do we find structures that promote responsibility and the ability to act? How do we resolve deadlocked conflicts? How do we bring an approachable professionalism into our day-to-day work that makes us efficient and at the same time strengthens our sense of connection? I bring with me my psychotherapeutic training, the ability to hold emotionally charged situations and the courage to address uncomfortable topics openly and with understanding.

Training programmes

Person-centred consultant
Emotion-focussed therapy
Non-violent communication

Main areas of work
Self-organisation
Inner freedom of action, also and especially in conflicts
Confident handling of AI

Working with SOCIUS is like a professional friendship, characterised by listening and organic development. And in the end, solutions often emerge that were already there, just waiting to be realised.

Norbert Poppe

is an independent coach and organisational developer. He is a qualified sociologist, coach DGfC and organisational developer. Since 2007, he has been supporting people in NGOs, companies and politics, administration or civil society initiatives ... and at their interfaces.

»It's not what we bring with us, but what we find«.
If you ask colleagues what it is like to work with him in consultations, words like »connecting«, »being able to give the customer a structure in the process« or »always looking for the question behind the question« come up.
His work focuses on topics such as »Leading in volatile times« and »Networked thinking and action« as responses to an increasingly complex and dynamic organisational framework.

In addition to consulting and coaching, he is often asked to act as a moderator in large or small participation-oriented or completely self-organised formats and provides further training in „process moderation“, „network development“ or „facilitation with large groups“.
Norbert is a member of the Marienthaler Kreis advisory network.

My connection with SOCIUS stems from my experience in numerous consulting processes and a long-standing friendly collegial relationship.

Joana Ebbinghaus
Bea Schramm

is an organisational psychologist with additional training in systemics, trauma, health and coaching. She has been advising organisations in the social economy, churches and non-profit organisations and associations in Germany and Europe for 30 years. She supports individuals and teams as well as organisational development processes.
She specialises in the effects of and dealing with attachment, diversity, uncertainties and injuries. She works with passion and humour, with image and body, with heart and mind.
She sees her main focus as mediating: when differences lead to exclusion, misunderstandings lead to conflict and injuries lead to ruptures. She opens up new perspectives, facilitates access and curiosity. She works in a solution-orientated and impartial manner based on values.
She currently lives in Berlin.

Joana Ebbinghaus
Marek Spitzcok from Brisinski

is a qualified sociologist, organisational and trauma consultant and mediator.

Holistic development is the basis of my work. Whether it's about conflicts, reorganising or structuring growth, it usually starts „where the shoe pinches“. Taking an open and trusting look at the current situation and working relationships and listening to everyone's wishes and goals are the first steps that often bring relief. For me, holistic means bringing individuals, teams and the organisation/institution with their various interests, priorities and working methods to new levels of effectiveness in a results-oriented way.

I bring over 20 years of work and development in and with various non-profit organisations, management experience, theory and a lot of practice to the table. And a fundamentally positive attitude that there is a solution to every problem, which is the next step in development.
