Dear readers,
you could actually quote adrienne marée brown all the time. Today it is: „What we pay attention to, grows“ - what we pay attention to, grows. This Pleasure Principle states that the positive view is a self-reinforcing force: advances in confidence build trust; focussing on success strengthens success.
The principle also implies that we can dry up the „dark side“ to a certain extent by depriving ourselves of attention. Many of my friends no longer watch the news - understandable self-protection, but somehow also defensive.
Spring's spirit of optimism is the ideal time to ask ourselves: who or what are we paying attention to? Cultivating a positive attitude is healthy, but the answer cannot be, only to see the beautiful. When the time comes to stand against the storm, we must name what is outrageous. When we discover a promising alternative on the edge, we need to water it and sing about it. And when it is time to regenerate, we need to see the healing.
At a time when the storms are becoming more frequent and tougher, we would like to know from you: How do you look at the world? What helps you to remain inwardly stable and effective?
We cordially invite you to join us for an exchange - in our labs, salons and specifically at the Art of Hosting Training from 7-10 May in Leipzig.
We look forward to learning together and continuing to work together!
